SERVICES PROVIDED: Rahab’s Rope extends services to the most vulnerable, abused and harassed sections of people “women and children forced into prostitution”. The emphasis of Rahab’s Rope is on extending compassionate care and the love and forgiveness of Jesus, responding to the physical, emotional and spiritual needs of these especially vulnerable people. Respecting the person and helping the person to be spiritually empowered to face the world that so easily blames them. This will be simultaneously carried out, by providing necessary educational inputs, group therapy, counseling along with semi skilled or skilled job training so that they may be gainfully employed. We have experienced that economic steadiness, to a great extent, helps the person resist the forces that might lure them into a situation of exploitation and abuse. The focus is to reintegrate them back into the mainstream of the society, empowered-spiritually, socially and economically. The hope is to achieve a group of people who are no longer forced into prostitution and feel that it is the only resort to a livelihood, who are not threatened, defenseless or without support.

The women are provided with medical treatment, food, shelter, clothing and any other basic need. Vocational skills are taught daily along with English speaking classes. Most importantly, the women are given compassion and love, understanding and acceptance all through the love and nurture of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. We believe that the person and power of love can and will change any person given the proper environment.
