Our Work In India

The Lord continues to open doors in India. In December of 2004, one hundred women attended our first annual Christmas Celebration in Bangalore India. Since then, we have seen more than 1200 women come through the Rahab's Rope Women's Centers. Currently, Rahab's Rope is doing work in Bangalore, Goa and Mumbai. Each location has a unique focus, but all are focused on rescuing women out of a life of Human Trafficking.



Bangalore – We have been in Bangalore since 2004, providing aftercare for hundreds of women through basic education and vocational training. Many women have come to know the love of Christ and have grown in both their spiritual and physical lives. They are also taught skills that equip them to successfully re-enter their communities.

Goa – In January of 2010, we felt a door was open for us to begin a new work in Goa. Goa’s main industry is tourism, causing sex trafficking to thrive as a business. While we seek to have a positive impact on girls already involved in sex tourism, our main focus in Goa is prevention. We are working in an area where young girls are not in school, and young women have no education or marketable skills. Both groups are at great risk. Through education and vocational training, our hope is to never see these girls forced into a life of prostitution. We also operate a small medical clinic in this area.

Mumbai – In January of 2011, we were asked to visit a brothel where many women live and work in a field. When we saw their plight ,our hearts were broken, and we couldn’t say no. Currently, we are entering this brothel five days a week, providing basic education and sharing the love of Christ. Amazing things are happening, and the work is progressing more quickly than we could have imagined. We can’t wait to see what the Lord will do in this newest work!
