Dear Friends of Rahab’s Rope
We pray all is well with you
and your family. The move of the store to
Gainesville has been a great success, if you haven’t
been by yet please come see us. We are getting new
items in all the time and I am expecting some new
things the ladies have made in a couple of weeks.
David Dass emailed to let me
know that they have finally been able to drill and
find water for the children’s home. This is such a
blessing as they have not been able to strike water
and were having to buy it for almost a year.
Last week, at our center in
India, we had a new group of ladies come to the
center for an orientation type day. David Dass spoke
from the book of James and seven of the women
committed their lives to the Lord. This group of
women will enter and begin in one of our training
programs today. This exciting news is elevated even
more from the fact that one of our previous trainees
told these ladies about Rahab’s Rope and brought
them to the center. After the meeting ten women
asked if they could have Bibles to read and share
with their friends. If you would be interested in
helping buy Bibles for these precious ladies please
contact me.
As I said earlier we will be
receiving more items from the women at the center in
a couple of weeks. We have many women each month
that come to the center for vocational training
classes, some women have been able to go back into
the community and get jobs in factories and some
have started their own business selling products
they make. The most exciting arena is that we now
have fifteen women that we pay for making items we
sell at our store here in the U.S. We would one day
like to be able to have our own factory where
hundreds of women can work for pay after they have
completed their training classes. It is very
difficult for these women to become consistent in
their training and work schedule because of their
environment and circumstances. Due to their
environment many of the women we train seem to fall
through the cracks and end up back in their old
lifestyle. The enemies stronghold is so powerful in
the dark place that these precious ladies live it is
hard for them to overcome their situation. Please
pray for them to receive the power they need to
overcome. But praise the Lord we have women that are
overcoming and are able to be self-reliant through
their vocational training and no longer have to sell
their bodies to survive.
You may remember me sharing
the story of Sonu; she came to us a little over a
year ago. Sonu’s husband had been prostituting her
and she could no longer bear it and ran away leaving
behind a 7-month old baby. Sonu was very sad when
she came to us; she received the Lord and His joy
but desperately missed her child. Sonu has now left
Rahab’s Rope to return home and try to live with her
husband again and be with her child. Please pray for
her and her safety. Pray that she would be able to
lead her husband to the Lord. Sonu is so precious
and loves the Lord. If things do not go well with
her husband she will be back living at the center.
David Dass will be in the
U.S. and visiting with us in Gainesville November
10-12. We will try to have a special gathering on
Saturday Nov. 10 for you all to meet with him. I
will send more details later. David sends me very
few needs or prayer request for himself, however at
this time he is in need of a new vehicle. The
vehicle will be used for ministry as much or more
than for his personal needs. The cost of the vehicle
should not exceed $20,000 USD. Please prayerfully
consider if you can assist with this need.
Thank you all so much for
your support both financially and prayerfully. We
would not be accomplishing all that we do without
you. We pray God’s richest blessings upon you and
your family.
In His Glad Service,
Vicki and David
