Gainesville Store
2011 marks the fifth anniversary of our Gainesville, Georgia retail store. Since its founding in 2006 the store has moved locations three times. We are excited to finally find our home on the historic, downtown Gainesville square. We are in a season of updating and revamping and are thrilled about the direction the store is taking.If you are in the Greater Atlanta area, please make it a point to stop by the store. We want to meet you, answer your questions, and share even more about our heart and mission for rescuing victims of Human Trafficking.
Why have a store?
Our store is an important part of who we are. It is an outlet to sell products made by the women of Rahab's Rope in India, and it provides significant funding for the entire organization. It also serves as a place of ministry in the United States. In short, it is the perfect merging point for the various components of Rahab's Rope.
What will I find?
We carry a wide variety of merchandise including products made by the women of Rahab's Rope in India as well as a variety of fairtrade products made both in the US and internationally.
According to the Fairtrade Foundation,
"Fairtrade is about better prices, decent working conditions, local sustainability, and fair terms of trade for farmers and workers in the developing world. By requiring companies to pay sustainable prices (which must never fall lower than the market price), Fairtrade addresses the injustices of conventional trade, which traditionally discriminates against the poorest, weakest producers. Where can I find you?
We are located at 115 Bradford St. SE Gainesville, GA 30501. Gainesville is located approximately one hour Northeast of Atlanta, GA, 45 minutes Northwest of Athens GA, and approximately 35 minutes from the Blue Ridge mountain range. Once on the downtown Gainesville square look for the giant green awning. We are hard to miss!
When are you open?
We are open Monday - Saturday from 10 am to 5:30 pm.
Can I work in the Store?
Our store staff is 100% volunteer based. If you live in the Greater Atlanta area and are interested in volunteering in our store we would love to meet and talk to you further about our various volunteer options.
