About Us

Rahab’s Rope Women’s Center is a place that provides food, shelter and protection; a place of education and training; a place where the whole person is ministered to spiritually, physically, mentally, emotionally, socially and financially. It is a place of hope, a place of transformed lives.

THE MISSION OF RAHAB’S ROPE FROM THE INCEPTION OF RAHAB’S ROPE THE FOCUS HAS BEEN TO RESCUE WOMEN AND GIRLS IN CRISIS THAT HAVE BEEN FORCED INTO HUMAN TRAFFICKING; TO TRANSFORM THEIR LIVES THROUGH THE LOVE OF JESUS CHRIST IN ACTION. THIS TRANSFORMATION IS A PROCESS OF RESCUE, REHABILITATION, RESTORATION AND RE-ENTRY.

THE VISION OF RAHAB’S ROPE is to see lives transformed by God’s love in action, to reveal His love in a way they can see, understand and respond to in faith. The women must first be rescued from human trafficking then provided with treatment for physical and emotional needs. They need to be taught that they have value and nurtured in love and faith. And finally to help women rebuild their lives by providing financial and vocational skills; job placement and funding for micro-business start-ups and to re-enter their communities and one by one, to see each one reach one.

THE HISTORY OF RAHAB’S ROPE RAHAB’S ROPE WOMEN’S CENTER, WAS FOUNDED IN THE YEAR 2004, BY VICKI MOORE. Through various means Mrs. Moore became aware of the enormity of human trafficking around the world and in particular India. Each year over four million women and children are trafficked into prostitution and slave labor. Every day in India over two hundred girls and women are forced into the sex industry. Human trafficking in India alone generates over four million dollars per day. India has the highest suicide rates in the world for women. Young girls are often dedicated to the temple for temple prostitution. In light of these horrific facts, Mrs. Moore felt compelled to join the fight against human trafficking. After much investigation and many interviews Mrs. Moore was introduced to Dr. David Dass of India Gospel League in Bangalore, India. Dr. Dass had a similar vision for the women and children that were being exploited as that of Mrs. Moore. Since their meeting in May of 2004 the process began. Field Workers were hired and began building relationships with the women on the street. In December of 2004 a Christmas Celebration was held in which one hundred of the women (called commercial sex workers – csw) came to learn about Rahab’s Rope. In January of 2005 a building was acquired and by March a staff was hired and the first residents were living at Rahab’s Rope Women’s Center.

WHAT WE BELIEVE

We believe God loves you and wants you to personally know Him.

"God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish, but have eternal life." John 3:16

We believe that all scripture is “God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness.” (2 Timothy 3:16)

We believe that Jesus Christ is “the way, the truth, and the life.” (John 14:6)

We believe that “salvation is found in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given to man by which we must be saved.” (Acts 4:12 )

We believe “if we claim to be without sin, we deceive ourselves and the truth is not in us.” (1 John 1:8)

We believe “if we confess our sins, He is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness.” (1 John 1:9)

We believe “that if you confess with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified and it is with our mouth you confess and are saved.” for “Everyone, who calls upon the name of the Lord will be saved.” Rom. 10:9-10 & 13
