Christmas Celebration 2007
Hello Everyone,
Greetings from Rahab’s Rope Christmas Celebration Bangalore, India. I don’t know
where to begin or how to express in words the events of the day. Let me first begin
by thanking you all for praying, we have definitely felt your prayers. Thursday
evening women began arriving in Bangalore from out of the area that had heard about
Rahab’s Rope Christmas Celebration. As the women arrive they must register with
us so we have a record of their attendance and know how to reach them in the future.
The Celebration was to begin at 11:00 a.m. Friday morning, by 10:00 a.m. two hundred
fifty were there and by early afternoon there were nine hundred women at the Celebration.
The Hall we had rented would not hold them all and there were some two hundred standing
outside crowding to get in. It was an unbelievable sight. They wanted to get in
to hear about this man named Jesus! I gave them all greetings from you in the U.S.
The women from Rahab’s Rope preformed songs, dances, the traditional Christmas story
and shared personal testimonies of how their lives had changed since coming to Rahab’s
Rope. They shared how they have found Love that even their parents had never given
them and a hope for their future. There were four of us that spoke and shared with
the women and David Dass gave the final message. Many women stood saying they wanted
to receive Christ into their lives! It was so amazing! Of course, David Dass will
counsel with each of them and confirm their understanding. Many of them will be
coming to worship with us on Sunday morning so please pray for us as we try to disciple
them. Those of you that were with us last year will remember the woman that caused
a disturbance; she was there today and looked like a completely different person.
She came and talked to me and said that from the day we prayed for her she has been
a completely different person. It was a true transformation she was so calm and
peaceful, sweet and beautiful. We serve an amazing God! Today was truly overwhelming
and there are so many stories I would love to share. I must go for now and I will
write and share more with you when we return from India. There is much work to be
done.
I thank you all from the depths of my heart for all you do to support the ministry
of Rahab’s Rope. Some day in heaven a beautiful Indian woman will walk up to you
and thank you for your extension of Rahab’s Rope and rescuing her. |
